Well, my first post. I'm pretty green at this, but I think my children will appreciate reading this someday, so here goes! First of all, I have a lot of catching up to do. I'd like to share the story of how our children "came to be". Since they've been with us for 2 1/2 years already, I have to go back a little ways. AND, I need some time to gather my thoughts. So, in this, my first post, I will just say that I am truly a blessed woman. I have a wonderful husband, who loves God, loves me and loves his children. We have traveled down many joyous roads and many deep valleys together, and I wouldn't have wanted to travel without him! I also have two, beautiful four year old boys, who are full of life! They bring me so much joy and laughter everyday, and somedays God uses them to show me where I fail...patience may be one of those on the list, but I won't say for sure. :) We also have two children somewhere in Ethiopia. I long to see them and hold them, but again, we wait on the Lord's perfect timing.
So, that's it for my first post, because at this moment my boys are finished eating lunch and are pretending to be T-Rex dinosaurs. One of them usually gets hurt when they pretend to be dinosaurs, so I'm off to intervene.
Looks great, Rebekah! So glad that you started a blog. It'll be nice to follow not only he story of your boys but also your new adoption journey.
ReplyDeleteI'm Jeff and Jen's "old babysitter", Jamie. I went down with them to PA to watch Andrew when you were in the hospital ... (9 years ago?). Anyway, I have often thought about you and Greg and if you were ever able to have children. I was so happy to see that God has blessed you both with 2 beautiful boys! I've read through your posts and couldn't help but laugh at the story of the boys at bedtime. I'm right there with you! lol...
ReplyDeleteHow exciting it is to see God at work, building your family, and will be keeping you in prayer as this "next chapter" unfolds!
