Ethiopian Dinner

Jachin & Josiah with their new friend, Jacob, who was adopted from Ethiopia a few months ago.  These three boys had a lot of fun playing together. If you know my boys, you know how active they are, but Jacob kept up with them really well. He was absolutely adorable! In fact, I think he was calling the shots. :)

These beautiful girls were also adopted a few months ago from Ethiopia.  Bethy and Anna absolutely
enjoyed the Ethiopian food.  They definitely both ate more than I did.

We had a wonderful time interacting with other adoptive families.  We also were able to spend some time talking to the pastor of this Ethiopian church.  Next time we go, I would like to get a picture of him.  What an incredible story he has!!!  Someday I hope that he is able to share his story with our children.

Now on to the food.....
I am not one for "interesting" foods.  I like to try new things, but I'm often somewhat wary of foods that I don't know.  I had a tough time in Russia, and ate a lot of protein bars.  However, I must say that after tasting the authentic Ethiopian food that this Ethiopian church prepared, I can't wait to have it again!  It was delicious!!!  I believe this church does this every so often.  If you are interested in going with us next time, please let me know.  I would love for you to experience a little "taste" of our children's birth culture with us.

  1. What a nice event! How special that Jachin & Josiah can experience Etheopian culture before their siblings come home.

Also, from the pictures I can't believe how much the boys have grown since we saw you last summer!!!
