So, this will be a short post, but I had to share. I was outside weeding, and Josiah asked me if I had found any worms for him. I told him to stick around and I probably would. So, he waited patiently until I found one. He said, "Did you find me a big daddy worm?" Then he picked it up very gently, laid it in his hand and said, "Awww, little worm, you're so cute. I love you. Don't worry I'll take care of you. I'll find you a nice new home. You're so nice, little worm. Here you can live here." Then he gently placed him in a nice pile of dirt and watched him dig down into the dirt. Josiah looked at me and said, "Mommy, I love worms. They're so cute." I tried very hard not to laugh, because only a little boy would think that a slimy worm was cute. So, I smiled real big and said, "You are so nice to God's creatures. I think worms like you too."
Josiah said, "Yes they do. Can we find a mommy worm now and then some baby ones?"
And so we did.
Rebekah,
ReplyDeleteThat is SO PRECIOUS! His gentleness is a reflection of how gentle you are with those boys. Keep it up!
