Russian Demands are Scary!

"It’s unclear if Russian authorities plan to slowly and quietly allow most adoptions to proceed while loudly demanding new concessions from the United States. But it is clear that the early demands from Russian officials aren’t encouraging: They include allowing Russian officials and diplomats to enter the homes of American families who have adopted Russian orphans. Another reported demand: requiring that American families maintain adopted children’s language and culture."  World Magazine

The above quote is a brief highlight of an article that World Magazine wrote regarding the state of Russian adoptions and the future of adoptive families.  I am very disturbed by the demands from the Russian gov't.  I pray that the American gov't does NOT give Russia the right to enter private homes of American citizens.  I also question the purpose behind Russia requiring American families to maintain adopted children's language and culture.  And how are they going to enforce that?  Hmmmm.....if we are going to allow Russia to come into our homes, are we also going to permit them to take our children away if they don't like how we are raising them?  Are they going to require our American boys to serve in the Russian military?  All Russian boys must serve in the military at some point.  Since Russian adoptees are still considered Russian citizens by Russia, what will Russia expect of them?  Will America protect its children?  I certainly hope so!!!  SAY NO TO THESE DEMANDS PRESIDENT OBAMA!!!
