5 Years Old!

Five years old...I just can't believe that my little boys are 5 years old.  Wasn't it only yesterday that we were celebrating their 2nd birthday in a run-down orphanage in Astrakhan, Russia, with apple juice and animal crackers?   They were so weak, so tiny, so unaware of what it meant to be treated with birthday grandeur.  And now?  Ahhh....now, life is so different for them and for us!  They have a Mom and Dad who absolutely adore them.  They have friends who sing Happy Birthday to them and watch them blow out their candles.  They have family and friends who call and send/gifts and cards and tell them that they are very special.  And for Greg and me?  Well, it is their birthday, but truth be told, we are the ones who have received the gifts.  Just seeing their smiles, kissing their boo boo's, listening to their silly talk, watching them play, and getting their kisses, hugs and "I love you's" are all the gifts we need.  Yes, so much has changed for them and for us in a matter of 3 years.  And I don't think that June 11th will ever pass by without thinking about how much God has blessed Greg and me.

Here are some pictures of the boy's birthday "week".

At the Railroad Museum in Strasburg, PA

Their favorite thing at the Railroad museum were the Huge kid's train toys.

Riding bikes with their friends.

These are just a few pictures from this week.  I tried to do something special with them every day.
It was a wonderful week!  And a wonderful June 11th!!
Happy Birthday, Josiah and Jachin!
