Twins, but not the Same

I find it interesting that people are surprised that my twin boys have different personalities.  Do people really think that twins are exactly alike?  Maybe some twins are...I don't know.  However, Jachin & Josiah, though similar in some areas, are definitely two, distinct boys!  I love both of their personalities! 

Here is how they are similar:  They both make me smile and laugh, and both bring great joy to my heart.  They are both full of energy and life.  They both LOVE and I mean LOVE water:  swimming, ocean, baths, anything water!  They both enjoy pretending to be dinosaurs, and have a very LOUD Roar!  Neither one (though they are loud themselves) enjoys loud, upbeat music or dancing (much to my dismay).  They both enjoy classical music, which I'm sure I don't play often enough for them.  They bite their nails, and hate any skin tag; If we don't cut it off immediately, they'll pull it off.  They both have a great sense of humor.  They love bugs, bike riding, new movies and books from the library, and of course, wrestling with Daddy.   Oh Yes, and I can't forget this one....Chocolate is their favorite!

However, even with all of their similarities, they are still so different.  Like all of us, they have strengths and weaknesses, that are unique to each one. 

Josiah Samuel

Ten things unique to my "Siah"

1.  He generally prefers the colors green or orange.

2.  It is difficult to get him to focus.  You have to really make sure you have his attention before telling him something, because he often doesn't "hear" you.

3.  Once he is focused on something, it is difficult to distract him. 

4.  He is a follower.  He watches what others are doing and emulates their play.

5.  Even though he is a follower, he plays very well by himself.  He likes some alone play.

6.  Josiah is a risk taker...with some things, things he feels like he can control.

7.  Josiah is my carnivore.  He doesn't care for vegetables or fruit, but will eat any and all meat.

8.  Josiah think that all bugs are "so cute". 

9.  Josiah sucks his thumb, and holds his TiTi (his blanket) up to his mouth as he sucks when he sleeps or is tired.

10. Josiah rarely gives spontaneous hugs or "I love you's".  It is very sweet and special when he does. 

Jachin Isaiah

Ten things unique to my "Jakey"

1.  Jachin generally prefers the colors blue or red.

2.  He likes to master something.  He will practice until he gets it right.

3.  He is a leader. 

4.  Jachin is very aware of other's feelings and emotions. 

5.  He loves fruits and vegetables (and likes eating raw onions by themselves).

6.  He is a problem solver. 

7.  Jachin is very picky about the way clothing feels on him.  He will often ask for a different shirt or shorts/pants if they don't feel just right. 

8.  His favorite toy is his stuffed puppy, aka "Puppa", and you must say the name correctly, or he will correct you.  :)  Puppa is his friend.  He goes nowhere without him.

9.  Jachin is a people person.  He will always prefer to be with others.

10. Jachin gives hugs and "I love you's" often.  He is tender and sweet.  Neither Greg nor I can leave the house without Jachin telling us to be careful and he will miss us.
