Isn't she precious? Our very dear friends, Cory and Stephanie, are in the process to adopt this sweet girl from an Eastern European country.
A little over 5 years ago, God used Cory, who knew that we were contemplating adoption, to introduce us to a couple who adopted from Russia. God used that couple to show us that we needed to follow Him to Russia to be Daddy and Mommy to two year old, twin boys, who were 12 and 15 lbs. Our boys desperately needed love, nutrition and medical care. God indirectly used Cory to lead us to them. Cory and Stephanie had no idea at that time that God had a plan for them to be Daddy and Mommy to a precious, little girl. Since the boys have been home, they have supported and encouraged us, even as we have been in the process to adopt from Ethiopia. There has been no doubt in our minds that they have understood that all of God's adopted children are called to care for orphans in some way. But I cannot fully explain the joy in my heart when I found out that they are following God to make an unwanted child, wanted...to make she who is without family, without love, and without hope, their very own. I am witnessing God's hand moving in miraculous ways on behalf of orphans, and it takes my breath away. The only thing that I can do is Praise my God, who does immeasurably beyond what I could ask or think.... He sets the lonely in families...Ps. 68:6
