Court!

Yesterday we received our court date for Havyn!  I was homeschooling the boys when the phone call came.  I don't normally answer the phone when we are homeschooling.  But the boys were coloring their letter "K" pictures, and for some reason the phone was sitting behind me and I picked it up.  Also, for the past two weeks, every time I answered the phone, I was a little disappointed when it was not our coordinator ready to give us a court date.  (Not disappointed that you have called....if you call me....just waiting expectantly...;)  I never expected our coordinator to call on a Monday morning.  They are two hours behind us, and I guess I figured that they wouldn't hear until later in a week.  So, when I answered the phone and it was our coordinator on the line, I was totally surprised.  I wish I had been videotaped, because my boys stopped coloring and looked at me with alarm.....they were both wide eyed and saying, "What Mommy?  What's wrong?"  So I went over to them, hugged them, and said, "Mommy and Daddy finally know when we will get to see your sister."  I loved their reaction!  They both smiled really big, and one of them said (can't remember which one now), "Yay, we're gonna get our sister soon."

One of the pastor's at our church emailed this prayer to us yesterday.  (He and his wife are finalizing the adoption of a two year old boy from the US next week - very exciting)  As I was whirling around, not knowing what to do with myself, his prayer helped me to calm my excited spirit and lift up Praise to my Sovereign, Gracious Lord!
Merciful God, you are good to those who wait for you. Thank you for this answer to prayer. We know that the king’s heart is in your hand and that you direct it like a watercourse wherever you please. You are sovereign and you are good. May you protect Greg & Rebekah as they travel and watch over the boys as they stay home. May you give strength to Greg & Rebekah and bless them with peace as they meet Havyn face to face for the first time. Rain down your blessings upon them in this meeting. Fill them with your spirit and communicate your adopting love through them. Protect them and Havyn from all evil as they wait and trust in You. O Lord, may you move upon the heart and mind of the Minister of Women’s Affairs so that they will provide this letter quickly, that court may be passed, and Havyn may be brought home this summer. You, O God, are able to do above and beyond all we could ask or imagine. You are in control. You see and know things we do not see or know, so we can rest completely in your sovereign, loving arms. Grant that rest, peace, and trust to Greg & Rebekah. Enable them to wait on you. Provide for their every need, for your glory. We thank you, for you have indeed dealt bountifully with us over and over again. Over all Lord, we pray that Havyn would grow into a beautiful woman of God, knowing the love of Jesus and the hope of eternal life. And may you move upon the hearts, minds, and wills of many more families at Westminster and in your church around the world to care for children and orphans, all for your glory alone. Thank you Lord, in the precious name of Jesus our Savior, whom you freely gave so that we might be adopted into your family, Amen.
PRAISE GOD!  Praise God, from whom all blessings flow!
(BTW, I will not be putting our court date or any information about our trip on my blog until after we travel. However, I will be sending emails to friends and family.  If you would like me to add you to our email list, please email me or indicate it in the comment section.  We would love to have you follow along.)
